Conduct Code
Students are Expected to:

 

 
  • Be Prompt.
      You are expected to be in your seat when the bell rings.
      Please enter quietly if your enter late.
      Two tardies will lower your conduct grade one letter.
  • Demonstrate good manners.
      Gum chewing and personal grooming are prohibited in class.
  • Pay attention and take notes. Be alert and engaged.
      Do not put your head down on the desk.
  • Be prepared with appropriate supplies including a notebook & pencils or pen.
  • Talk quitely when given permission.
  • Raise hand to be recognized before speaking.
  • Exhibit good conduct. Be polite.
      Refrain from throwing any object.
      Copying work will result in a grade of "0" for both the person who copies and the person being copied from.
  • Be respectful of school equipment, your classmates' belongings and the school environment.
  • Be respectful of each other, the teachers and staff, including substitutes and guests on our campus.
  • Be dismissed by the teacher rather than the bell.
      Stay in your seats until you are dismissed.
  • Keep your school clean.
  • Give the substitute the same respect given the teacher.
  • Follow the M.D.C.P.S. Code of Student Conduct.

    Treat everyone with respect and dignity.
  • IF ANY OF THE CONDUCT RULES ARE VIOLATED, PARENT CONTACT MUST BE MADE BY THE TEACHER. THE CONDUCT GRADE WILL BE LOWERED ACCORDINGLY AND SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT WILL BE EXPECTED. PROGRESSIVE INFRACTIONS WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PARENT CONTACT, REMOVAL FROM THE CLASS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION. THREE DISCIPLINARY REFERRALS WILL REQUIRE A PARENT CONFERENCE. THE STUDENT WILL BE PLACED ON A PROBATIONARY STATUS FOR CONSIDERATION OF RETURN TO HIS/HER HOME SCHOOL, ADULT EDUCATION OR ASSIGNMENT TO AN OPPORTUNITY SCHOOL.

    ANY STUDENTS THAT TAKE PART IN FIGHTS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY WITHDRAWN FROM THE SCHOOL.
